Job Description

ACCIONA is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Coordinator to join the HumeLink East (HLE) Project, based on the southern section of the alignment in the Tumut region.

This role provides a unique opportunity to be directly involved in a large-scale transmission infrastructure project, contributing to the delivery of environmental outcomes and ensuring compliance with environmental management requirements. Working closely with site teams and reporting into the project’s Environmental function, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality environmental support on one of Australia’s most significant energy infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor project-specific environmental management plans and requirements.
  • Provide on-site environmental support, training, and guidance to construction teams.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance with approvals and legislation.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including regulators, community members, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare environmental reports, records, and documentation in line with project and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the infrastructure, utilities, or construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to conduct monitoring, inspections, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Australian Citizen or full working rights in Australia.
  • Current Driver’s License and Construction White Card (mandatory).
  • Flexibility to work regionally and support site-based teams.
