Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a passion for markets, particularly equities, with a focus on Equity Strategy.
- Support the lead Equity Strategist by conducting in-depth analysis across different market areas, including fund manager positioning and style investing.
- Contribute to thematic sector reports and collaborate on cross-sector projects with other teams.
- Efficiently handle day-to-day client requests and needs.
- Communicate your team's ideas persuasively to internal and external parties, tailoring communications to client needs.
- Suggest new approaches or ideas to enhance your franchise as a business.
- Understand and adhere to the firm's risk management policies and applicable legal and regulatory rules.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- At least 1-2 years of experience with proven analytical skills, not limited to accounting and finance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a finance or related field.
- Ability to independently arrange fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings.
- Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of the fundamentals/drivers (competitive landscape, risks) of an industry or country and thoroughly understand drivers of relevant markets to explain and anticipate market movements.
- Ability to synthesize disparate pieces of information and articulate a compelling thesis or argument clearly and cogently.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong preference for candidates with a finance or related background.
- Demonstrates creativity in solving problems and always looks for new ways of doing things.
- Ability to thrive under competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs.
- Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management.
- A CFA/CPA, or progress toward a CFA/CPA, is a plus.
