Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ESG and SAP Reporting Lead to join our organization in Sydney, Australia. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive ESG and financial reporting strategies, leveraging SAP systems to drive organizational transparency and compliance. You will oversee the integration of ESG metrics with financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with regulatory requirements and international reporting standards.

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ESG reporting frameworks aligned with GRI, SASB, and TCFD standards, ensuring compliance with Australian regulatory requirements
  • Oversee SAP reporting processes across multiple modules (FI, CO, MM, SD) to support both financial and ESG data consolidation and analysis
  • Develop and optimize automated reporting workflows and dashboards to streamline data collection, validation, and dissemination to stakeholders
  • Manage the integration of ESG metrics into existing financial reporting systems and ensure data accuracy through rigorous quality assurance processes
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify, collect, and validate ESG data from operational systems and external sources
  • Prepare comprehensive ESG and financial reports for internal management, board committees, and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies
  • Analyze reporting requirements and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen data governance
  • Mentor and develop reporting team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
  • Ensure compliance with evolving ESG disclosure regulations and accounting standards applicable to Australian organizations
  • Collaborate with finance, sustainability, and operational teams to align reporting objectives with organizational strategy

Qualifications

  • Extensive professional experience in SAP reporting, financial reporting, or related roles within a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, or corporate responsibility initiatives
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP systems, including configuration, reporting, and data analysis across multiple modules
  • Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and familiarity with Australian regulatory requirements (ASX, ASIC)
  • Expertise in financial consolidation, reporting, and analysis methodologies
  • Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools for data analysis and visualization
  • Proven experience leading teams and mentoring professionals in reporting or analytical roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
  • Experience with process documentation, optimization, and change management
  • Preferred: Knowledge of sustainability reporting software platforms and project management methodologies
  • Preferred: Experience with regulatory compliance and audit processes in a multinational organization
  • Preferred: Familiarity with data governance frameworks and information security best practices
