We are looking for an experienced Exchange Traded Options DTR with strong interpersonal skills and an advanced knowledge across local and international capital markets. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing, client facing team of DTRs, providing tier 1 service across all aspects of trading and execution, and on-going risk management.

Reporting into the Head of Sales and Trading, you will be part of a team structure where we all work equally towards becoming a market-leader in our space. You will be responsible for providing support to the Trading Desk and Business Heads, and fostering strong relationships with clients, counterparties, and key vendors.

The role requires an individual with a deep understanding of the entire front to back trade flow for this role, understanding both ETO and Equity trade life cycles from execution to settlement and on-going risk management of all relevant products.

The responsibilities will also include:  

Trade Execution & Market Oversight

  • Execute client orders in line with best execution policies

  • Vet client orders to ensure a fair and orderly market

  • Collaborate with brokers and market makers as needed

  • Address trade-related queries from clients

  • Work closely with Compliance & Legal teams for market surveillance

  • Generate reports on client and business activity

Risk & Operational Management

  • Monitor daily trading risk, post-trade performance, and compliance (Rules S1 & FNZ Margin Suite)

  • Provide first-level trading support to external clients

  • Escalate unusual trading activity to management & compliance teams

  • Manage cash and collateral, including intra-day risk and margining

  • Oversee Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL) & Cash Market Margining (CMM)

  • Ensure integration between front and back-office systems

  • Assist in product setup & maintenance

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate? 

  • A minimum of five years' experience in trading, covering both institutional and retail clients across equities and ETOs.

  • National DTR Cash Equities & Derivatives Accreditation.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Market Integrity Rules and trading regulations.

  • Strong technical knowledge of CHESS, ASX settlement systems, and FIX development.

  • Experience with AML, KYC, risk control frameworks, and vendor management.

  • Proficiency in software development and scripting is advantageous.

Exposure to the following systems and processes would be highly beneficial:

  • IRESS/IOS+ | X-Plan | IPS | FNZ SHARES, FrontOffice, DCA, Margin Suite, RuleS1

  • FIX & SWIFT protocols

  • Agility Suite, Nasdaq, SMARTS, Bloomberg
