EUC (End User Computer) Tech lead / Delivery Lead plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's Workstation, handheld device management, printer and end user systems ecosystem. This role encompasses several key responsibilities and objectives, including:

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Designing and implementing EUC solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practices.

  • Design and Implement Printer Services, including - Printer Server, Cloud Print, On Click printing services, Printer management

  • Design and Implement handheld device, device management and integration solutions in support of retail outlets and customer services.

  • Design and Implement windows workstation SOE and associated deployment and management tools - eg Intune, SCCM.

  • Design and Implement EUC systems integrations with deployment automation tools and Service Management systems.

  • Monitoring systems performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure high availability and reliability.

  • Implementing security measures to safeguard systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.

  • Collaborating with IT and security teams to integrate systems with other technology platforms.

  • Conducting performance analysis and capacity planning to optimize systems performance and scalability.

  • Documenting systems configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps in adherence to architectural and operational standards and policies.

  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior systems engineers and IT staff.

  • Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative systems solutions.

  • Transitioning newly deployed solutions to operations teams following service transition standards and policies.

  • Participating in all aspects of operational support within the ITIL framework, including Service Transition, Change Management, Incident Management, Request Management, Problem Management, and Configuration Management.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

  • 5+ years experience in designing and implementing EUC device and management infrastructure for Workstations, Printers and handheld devices.

  • Expertise is packaging and deployment processes for workstation and handheld devices (Android, IOS)

  • Expertise across multiple systems technologies, including on-premises devices, management systems, Automated deployment systems. Microsoft Autopilot, Intune and SCCM. Android Device and Aiwatch. Integration is EUC systems with MS AD.

  • Experience and thorough understanding of ITSM and ITIL processes such as change management, incident management, and configuration management.

  • Strong understanding of EUC systems concepts and protocols.

  • Experience with EUC systems security measures.

  • Proficiency in systems monitoring and management tools (e.g., Dynatrace, ServiceNow).

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Hands-on experience with systems design and implementation.

  • Project management and organizational skills.
