Role Description

At Dropbox, Virtual First empowers us to live our company mission of designing a more enlightened way of working. Though remote work is the primary experience for our employees, we recognize that in-person connection is vital to a thriving workforce.  That’s why we encourage teams to come together regularly in-person.

As an Internal Events Lead, you’ll play an important role in curating those internal experiences that foster community, reinforce Dropbox’s values, and align with strategic business moments. This role will help reimagine the experience our employees have at our in-person events, evolving legacy programs and traditions and creating new ones to shape our culture — all while keeping Dropbox’s brand promise to design a more enlightened way of working top of mind. You’ll sit in an org of event experts but serve the single-driver for internal events, partnering most closely with our Internal Communication and Culture team, along with our Virtual First and Design teams and the EAs and Chiefs of Staff to our executives. The events you’ll create will span from bringing our top 100 leaders at the company together to Hack Week to employee celebrations with executives during their travels. You’ll gain high visibility with executive stakeholders and make an outsized impact on our company culture.

The ideal candidate will be able to use existing resources with an opportunity to expand and scale programs by tying events experiences to tangible business outcomes (ex. employee sentiment, leadership engagement, etc.). In Dropbox’s Virtual First working model, in-person experiences need to offer a consistent vision of our culture and brand, and an even more unique and creative way of bringing Dropbox to life.

  • Key teams you’ll partner with: Internal Communication and Culture, Employee Experience, Office of the CEO Team, Offsite Planning Team, and Workplace Team
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience managing events or similar functions
  • In-depth and hands-on experience in events services, hospitality, client service, or consulting

  • Several years of experience in event planning and strategy, preferably in the technology industry
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events, such as conferences, product launches, trade shows, and customer events
