Job Description

Our client’s success is our success. And you make it happen
Ever tapped your phone to buy a morning coffee, or made a purchase from your favourite online store? Chances are, we’ve made it happen.

At Cuscal, we’ve been at the forefront of payments innovation for almost 60 years, enabling seamless, secure solutions that millions of Australians rely on every day. From launching Australia’s first ATM to being the first certified Australian fast payments Payer and Initiator in 2022, we’ve always pushed boundaries — and we’re not stopping now.

We are a listed public company (ASX:CCL) with full direct connectivity and production capability across all domestic payment systems. Whilst the major banks leverage this capability for their consumer and business clients, our B2B model focuses on enabling other banks, fintech’s and corporates to deliver innovative and competitive payment and digital solutions to their clients and customers.

We are looking for a Marketing Operations and Events Manager to join our Brand & Marketing Team.

The Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of events that support brand awareness, stakeholder engagement, and business objectives. This role oversees the end-to-end delivery of internal and external events, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and impact. The responsibilities for the role include:

  • Developing and implementing an annual events strategy aligned with organisational goals and marketing planning
  • Planning, managing, and executing a diverse range of events including conferences, webinars, product launches, sponsorship activations, internal events, and stakeholder functions
  • Managing event budget planning and ensuring adherence
  • Establishing and managing event sponsorship and agency relationships
  • Managing event logistics including venue sourcing, catering, AV, signage, registration, and on-site coordination
  • Collaborating with internal teams (e.g. marketing, communications, product, P&C) to ensure event objectives and messaging are aligned
  • Developing and managing event budgets, timelines, and risk management planning
  • Overseeing event promotion and communications, including invitations, social media, email campaigns, and post-event follow-up
  • Managing relationships with external suppliers, venues, and partners to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Evaluating event success through feedback, reporting, and performance metrics, and applying learnings to future events

About You:

You’re a proactive organiser who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys bringing people together through well-executed events. You’re detail-oriented, collaborative, and ready to grow your skills across marketing operations and event coordination.

  • Proven experience coordinating a variety of events including conferences, webinars, and internal functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, logistics, and supplier relationships to ensure smooth execution.
  • Experience supporting budget planning, tracking spend, and reconciling invoices with finance teams.
  • Skilled in working across teams to align event objectives with broader marketing and organisational goals.
  • Familiarity with tools and systems for project management, reporting, and communications.
  • Comfortable contributing to process documentation, risk planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively
