Bring your energy to Aggreko as Events Sales Consultant – Sports and Broadcasting based in Melbourne, Adelaide or Sydney. You’ll l specialise in rapid-cycle transactions for temporary power, heating & cooling solutions across the high-profile Sports and Broadcast Events sector within Australia. You will handle opportunities spanning from extremely short cycles (1-4 weeks) for local events to medium cycles (3-12 months) for major international sports tournaments and broadcast installations, requiring exceptional adaptability, responsive service, and a comprehensive understanding of the industries Australian region.

What you’ll do as Events Sales Consultant – Sports and Broadcasting:

  • Drive revenue growth through new business development and repeat business, specifically targeting opportunities within Sports and Broadcast Events.

  • Perform systematic territory analysis and execute improvement plans, with a focus on key sporting calendars and broadcast requirements.

  • Rapidly configure bespoke solutions to address complex power and temperature control challenges unique to sports stadiums, broadcast compounds, and remote event sites, often under extreme time pressure.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including sports federations, broadcast rights holders, production companies, event organisers, and venue operators.

  • Manage multiple concurrent opportunities at different project stages across varied sports and broadcast event sites and venues.

  • Conduct on-site technical assessments and solution configuration with quick turnaround, understanding the specific demands of broadcast infrastructure and event environments.

  • Translate complex technical requirements (e.g., specific broadcast power loads, redundancy needs, silent operation) into clear messaging for diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Guide project timelines and documentation requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and event-specific standards.

You are:

  • A seasoned B2B sales consultant with a wealth of knowledge and minimum 3 years experience in the AUSPAC Sports and Broadcast Events sector, including key players, operational nuances, and regulatory environment

  • Successful in selling in fast-paced environments with time-sensitive client needs, characteristic of major sports tournaments and broadcast schedules

  • History of building relationships with diverse, high-level stakeholders in structured organizations

  • In-depth knowledge of regional event planning timelines, critical milestones, and logistical challenges.

  • Strong territory planning and strategic approach to market opportunities

  • A passion for the sports sector in Australia.

  • Available to be a part of the events team on-call roster (given the outside business hours nature of the events sector)
