The Role
We’re looking for an Investment Data Manager to join Evidentia Group to lead the management and optimisation of our investment data assets, ensuring they effectively support our Investment Management function and broader business objectives.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded data professional with strong technical capabilities and a passion for leveraging data and emerging technologies to drive business outcomes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, investment teams, technology teams, and external data providers to develop and maintain Evidentia’s investment data strategy, governance framework, and operational capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the management and optimisation of Evidentia’s investment data assets to support investment, consulting, and broader business functions
- Develop and maintain Evidentia’s investment data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and recognising data as a key organisational asset
- Manage relationships with investment data providers, including commercial agreements, service delivery, compliance obligations, and ongoing performance monitoring
- Establish and maintain robust investment data governance, stewardship, quality control, and compliance frameworks
- Oversee the collection, maintenance, validation, and delivery of investment data, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and operational excellence
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive investment data map, documenting data sources, usage, contractual rights, and retention requirements
- Drive the continued development of Evidentia’s centralised investment data capabilities, including identifying more efficient and cost-effective data solutions
- Partner with Technology and business stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven solutions, leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and scalability
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver investment data initiatives and enhance business capabilities
- Generate insights from investment and market data to support decision-making and improve understanding of industry trends
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, or a related discipline
- Strong programming skills in SQL and Python (or similar technologies)
- Experience managing investment data in a fast-paced environment
- Experience delivering technology and data solutions aligned to business strategy, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry
- Experience working with Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies in a commercial environment
- Experience managing relationships with third-party suppliers and data vendors
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across technical and non-technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and deliver operational outcomes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data governance capabilities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Highly Regarded
- Experience within investment management, managed accounts, wealth management, or broader financial services
- Experience establishing data governance, stewardship, and quality management frameworks
- Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional teams and business initiatives
- Knowledge of investment products, benchmarks, financial markets, and associated data providers
- Experience developing data hubs, data warehouses, or enterprise data management capabilities
