As the Executive Assistant to the CIO, you will provide high-level support in managing schedules, meetings, travel, and key communications within the technology function. Beyond administration, you’ll act as a strategic liaison, ensuring alignment across local and global Tech teams, including digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure, while supporting governance processes and senior Stakeholder engagement.
 

You will also help foster a strong tech-driven culture by coordinating key initiatives and collaborating with the broader ING EA community. This role is ideal for a proactive, organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced, technology focused environment.

What you’ll do 

  • Effective email and diary management, with limited direction and a strong awareness of current CIO, business priorities and Management of expenses

  • Event and meeting planning to effectively utilize the Executive’s time linked to current priorities

  • Support governance and documentation (agendas and minutes) for the regular cadence of meetings for the Executive to support team effectiveness. 

  • Preparation of quality presentations, reporting and information management (including monitoring of staff leave and key dates) with an appropriate awareness of the treatment of data demonstrating a strong eye for detail

  • Provide support on IT logistics and travel co-ordination (including liaison on detailed program planning) for the Executive as well as for Executives and Senior leaders visiting from Global (hosted by the local Executive) 

  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with requests from the Executive, including sensitive people and commercial matters

  • Leadership Team and broader Administrative Support.

  • Support the development of a cultural action plan for the business unit to deliver a range of activities and events aligned to organizational values and culture.

What we’re looking for 

  • Someone who is professional, supportive and passionate with a can-do attitude.

  • 10+ years of experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant supporting C-suite executive in similar sized organization.

  • Experience in Banking / financial services preferably within a Tech function.

  • Proven experience in preparing complex and confidential documents and reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute team events

  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of the Executive and the Leadership Team.

  • Demonstrates flexibility and strong hybrid co-ordination skills between external and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks with professional approach to confidential matters.
