Fixed-Term Role until Dec 2026, with strong potential for ongoing opportunities
We’re looking for a proactive and adaptable Executive Assistant to support the Head and Deputy Head of the Core Modernisation Department — an energetic team growing to around 250 people driving fast-paced technological change at the RBA.
Reporting to the COO EA, you’ll be part of a high-performing Executive Support team within the Enterprise Services and Strategy Group, while operating independently to support the Core Modernisation Department.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is resilient, and eager to learn. While you don’t need to be a tech expert, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of technology and its role in modernising the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
Manage email, calendars, and daily schedules for two senior executives
Take minutes and follow up on action items from meetings
Coordinate team activities and track tasks to ensure project milestones are met
Handle general administration: correspondence, expenses, reporting, travel, and events
Deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Location & Flexibility
Initially, you’ll be based primarily at Chifley Square 8 to ensure a smooth onboarding and integration into the broader organisation. Once integrated, you’ll follow a hybrid work model, spending 1–2 days per week at the Bella Vista office and additional time at Chifley Square 8, aligned with the Head of Department’s working patterns.
About You
You are a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with excellent time management skills and a strong desire to learn. Your ability to work across diverse leadership styles and adapt to different working patterns will be key to your success.
You’ll also collaborate regularly with the broader EA community and leadership teams, using your interpersonal skills and integrity to deliver outstanding outcomes for the Bank.
Experience required:
Proactive and able to anticipate needs with strong initiative
Confident and assertive in managing expectations
Highly organised and capable of multitasking in an agile setting
Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset
Skilled at building trusted relationships across the organisation
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new technologies
Ideally, 10+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant
Your Team
You’ll join a thriving team of Executive Assistants who support senior leaders across the Bank. Your experience will be valued, and you’ll contribute to the growth and success of the Core Modernisation Department. You’ll also be part of a collaborative and engaging team within Group Operations—experts united by a shared goal of delivering the best outcomes for the Bank.
