The opportunity
We’re seeking a highly capable and experienced Executive Assistant to support the Head of Transformation and Operations and the General Manager, QBE Digital. Operating at pace and with high trust, you’ll support complex, sensitive and high‑visibility agendas at the heart of the organisation.
This is a critical partnership role for a strategic EA who anticipates priorities, protects focus, and enables senior leaders to operate at their absolute best. You’ll play a key role in shaping how time is spent – creating clarity, rhythm and a sustainable work–life balance in a demanding global environment.
About QBE
At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.
We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.
What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.
Your new role
In this role, you will be a trusted partner responsible for optimising time, priorities, and outcomes for two senior leaders operating across multiple regions and time zones.
This is a role for an EA who genuinely cares about how time is used. Success comes not from filling calendars, but from thoughtfully shaping them – balancing urgency with focus, protecting space for governance and planning, and enabling sustainable ways of working.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategically managing complex, global and highly dynamic diaries, with both business priorities and leader wellbeing front of mind
Anticipating deliverables and ensuring leaders are fully prepared to meet commitments with confidence
Driving continuous improvement in ways of working, processes and administrative efficiency
Navigating multiple time zones, stakeholders and divisions with professionalism and sound judgement
Acting as a key point of contact for team processes, onboarding and induction support
Building strong relationships and liaising with senior executives, committees and external stakeholders
About you
At the core of this role is the ability to build trust through reliability, discretion and attention to detail. You’re someone who thrives on making an executive effective, brings strong judgement, and takes pride in creating order, clarity and balance in complex environments.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience supporting a senior executive in a fast‑paced, complex environment
Confidence and judgement to operate autonomously and handle sensitive matters with discretion
Exceptional organisation, attention to detail and written communication skills
High emotional intelligence and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
A tech‑savvy approach to improving workflows, productivity and ways of working
Absolute integrity and comfort managing confidential people and business matters
