Overview:
Rainmaker’s Corporate Mission is to be the definitive source of information and insight for corporations and consumers in today’s sophisticated markets.
The Research team’s task is to provide high quality research, data analysis and education services across key sectors of the financial services industry.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for leading, managing, maintaining and developing Rainmaker’s research program across these areas:
- Superannuation
- Investment performance
- Funds management
- Wealth management - advice, platforms and managed accounts
- Life insurance
- Banking
- Technical services
Specific aspects of your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing Rainmaker’s research program and the research team.
- Representing Rainmaker’s research capability and credentials in the broad market.
- Ensuring the research production schedule is maintained.
- Ensuring Rainmaker compliance licensing status is maintained.
- Liaising with colleagues across the Rainmaker group.
- Thought leadership across all aspects of the Research team’s scope of activities.
- Staying abreast of industry developments, public policy and guiding research innovation.
Qualification:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Finance/Economics, however other disciplines would be acceptable given the focus of this role requires deep industry experience.
- Preferably minimum 20 years of relevant experience in the Australian Wealth Management industry.
- With background in Investment Management/Superannuation/Life Insurance/Financial Planning
- Team leadership skills and good presentation skills
- Strong communications skills both written and verbal.
- Good understanding of Australian financial regulators and financial markets.
