Executive Manager – Regional Agribusiness Banking

Together, we’re leading growth across Southern NSW and the ACT.

Your New Opportunity

As Executive Manager for Southern NSW & ACT, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of business banking across a diverse and strategically important regional and metropolitan market.

Region

The region represents a highly diverse and economically significant segment, spanning major centres such as Canberra and Wollongong, through to broader regional hubs and rural communities.

From the energy and connectivity of Canberra to the coastal lifestyle of Wollongong, and the strong community ties across regional centres, this is a region that offers both professional opportunity and an exceptional quality of life.

Underpinned by a mix of commercial, government and agribusiness activity, the region is supported by established industries, ongoing infrastructure investment, and population growth. Its connectivity to key transport corridors and national decision-making hubs creates strong momentum for continued expansion and deeper client engagement.

Our established presence across the region plays a pivotal role in unlocking growth and strengthening our locally connected offering.

Team

This Executive Manager role provides a unique opportunity for an emerging leader to step into executive management and shape our business. You will lead a diverse team dedicated to delivering outstanding outcomes for business customers and local communities. You’ll be responsible for cultivating new relationships, building local capability, and establishing the foundations for long-term success.

  • Champion customer success by identifying opportunities and delivering tailored financial solutions
  • Drive strategic growth using deep market insights and commercial acumen
  • Foster a culture of excellence through coaching, mentoring, and capability development
  • Represent CommBank as a key regional ambassador, building strong relationships with clients and the broader business community
  • Navigate complexity with confidence—structuring and negotiating sophisticated business solutions

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven leadership experience in business or commercial banking
  • A passion for developing people and building high-performing teams
  • Strong credit and risk expertise, with a sharp commercial mindset
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and a customer-first approach
  • A track record of driving business growth and delivering strong results
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or Commerce (preferred)
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Why This Role?

This is more than a leadership position—it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact in a region that matters. You’ll join a team committed to innovation, inclusion, and supporting the success of regional businesses.
