About the role -

As the Executive Manager, you will be a vital connector, working alongside the Executive Chairman and the Executive team to drive operational excellence and ensure cohesive alignment across all work streams and business units. This standalone role is focused on providing commercial insight and support to the Executive Chairman in his roles leading both the organisation and the Loan Market service plan, facilitating cross-functional engagement, and ensuring key initiatives are progressing efficiently and collaboratively. You will be instrumental in bringing senior leaders and executives together to achieve shared strategic goals.

This role will be Sydney based - and while LMG supports hybrid working, given the nature of the role you would ideally be working from the office on most days.

Note - the Executive Chairman does have an executive assistant who will take care of diary management, expenses, travel and other administrative support.  The Executive Manager will need to work closely with the EA to ensure the Chairman is adequately prepared for all key meetings.

Key Responsibilities -
  • Commercial and Operational Support: Provide dedicated support to the Executive Chairman on key operational and commercial meetings, events, proposals and decisions, including preparatory work, research, analysis, briefings, and ensure follow-up on agreed actions, critical business activities and drivers.
  • Dot Connector & Alignment Driver: Act as the central connector to ensure work streams are effectively linked, business units are collaborating cohesively, information shared appropriately, and executive-level relationships are strong and productive.
  • Facilitate Operational Rhythm: Support the organisational operating rhythm, work with the EA to facilitate the successful cadence of Exco and Board meetings, manage agendas and action items, and ensure quality and timely documentation of decisions and progress.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Leadership: Lead the process of engaging executives and senior leaders on key initiatives, ensuring they are on the journey and committed and delivering required outcomes and timelines.
  • Coordinate Key Initiatives: Coordinate high-impact, cross-business unit projects and workstreams, ensuring accountability and regular reporting is in place for the Executive Chairman.
  • Reporting Support: Enhance and prepare reports for the Executive Chairman and Executive team on business performance, key performance metrics, and potential strategic initiatives.
  • Content Development: Assist in the development of briefings, presentation materials and scripts for internal and external presentations, including town halls and interviews.

To succeed in this role you will bring with you -

  • Strong Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated commercial mindset and experience, with an ability to understand and articulate business drivers and financial implications of operational decisions.
  • Strong EQ: Able to quickly ‘read the room’, and adjust style/ approach accordingly to build trust and influence desired outcomes
  • Program/ project management:  Experience leading cross functional programs of work, with strong prioritisation, delivery and collaboration disciplines and solution/ outcome orientation.
  • Able to handle the ambiguous, pivot when things change, remain calm under pressure and work autonomously
  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience in a Business or Executive Manager role, Commercial Analyst, Program Management, or a similar cross-functional coordination role. Experience in financial services or FinTech is highly regarded.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Communication and Influence: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and influence a diverse set of senior leaders across an organisation.
  • Mindset: Hungry but Humble, you are comfortable working behind the scenes to drive success and lead through influence.
  • Location: A desire to work in an office environment, alongside the Executive Chairman in Sydney.
