Job Description
Acciona Agua Australia, a global leader in sustainable water infrastructure, is inviting expressions of interest for a Process Engineer Draftsman to support the design and delivery of complex water infrastructure projects, including large-scale desalination and advanced water treatment facilities.
This role is integral to the development of high-quality process documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and will contribute to both tendering and execution phases of strategic projects across New South Wales and beyond.
Process Design & Drafting
Develop and maintain detailed PFDs and P&IDs in alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with process engineers to translate conceptual designs into accurate technical drawings.
Support the integration of emerging technologies and advanced treatment processes into design documentation.
Ensure consistency and clarity across all process drawings and documentation packages.
Project Support & Coordination
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for tenders, construction, and commissioning.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between process, mechanical, and electrical designs.
Manage drawing revisions, updates, and document control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Support technical presentations and contribute to the development of client-facing documentation.
Required Skills and Competencies
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or degree in Engineering Drafting, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in drafting PFDs and P&IDs for water infrastructure or industrial projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar drafting software.
Strong understanding of process systems, instrumentation, and control elements.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing packages.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel interstate and internationally as required.
Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not essential.
