Job Summary
Are you an aspiring engineer with passion in applying data science into complex real-life problems? Planning SIC Engineer is a great starting point! You will oversee Micron's advanced industrial production line that qualified as part of World Economic Forum's Global Lighthouse Network, in identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement, and proposing line direction and focus on terms of inventory scheduling. You will also work with various departments in aligning line management business rules, optimizing various scheduling rules, and setting up production reports and indices. In performing this role, you will apply manufacturing science concepts to line management and inventory scheduling.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee production line to identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Site inventory improvement through analytics, scheduling optimization and breakthrough reporting capabilities.
  • Write Python and SQL based programs to support application development in scheduling optimizer.
  • Collaborate with other engineering departments to improve overall line inventory performance through business process improvement, scheduling logic development, as well as setting up analytical reports and indices.
  • Create visualization and reporting capabilities to monitor line inventory health.
  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying , testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.

Job Requirements, Qualifications/Experience
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science is required
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas/matplotlib/numpy/scipy.stats) for data ingestion, statistical analysis, charting, and optimization is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL and Tableau is a plus
  • Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning
  • Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
  • Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred
  • Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role - appropriate AI literacy to use AI - enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem - solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
