Job Description

- Newly created position leading Endeavour Group’s new inbound transport service for our suppliers
- Flexible home-base location with hybrid working
As part of Endeavour Group’s supply chain strategy, we are developing an inbound transport capability to service suppliers that have products ranged in our Distribution Centre (DC) network.
This new service will be called fulfilled by Endeavour - Inbound (fbe - Inbound).
As the fbe Inbound Manager, you will have full responsibility for this new business unit. You will oversee transport operations for the new Inbound service, as well as lead the business development and Supplier engagement strategy.
This will involve the negotiation of contracts with both carrier partners and fbe - Inbound customers. You’ll have P&L responsibility of the function and be accountable for achieving the business case.
As this is a new role in a new business unit, you will project manage the establishment of the business, including creating and documenting processes, necessary artefacts, working with the Technology Team on the system development and the recruitment of the new Team.

Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role:
- Lead and manage day-to-day transport operational requirements for the fbe - Inbound function including:
- Ensure that fbe - Inbound operations meet both our Customers requirements and the requirements of the business
- Ensure that peak trading periods are planned for and executed effectively
- Lead and manage recovery activities in the event of network disruptions
- Manage all carrier partner contracts against the agreed operational, safety and commercial KPI’s
- Lead the implementation phase of the fbe - Inbound project including:
- Building the team
- Developing operational procedures
- Testing the TMS
- Creating a Supplier engagement strategy
- Winning and onboarding new customers
- Identifying and negotiating with new carrier partners
- Lead procurement activity for the fbe Inbound function including:
- Managing the development and delivery of fbe - Inbound procurement activity
- Responsibility for ensuring alignment with Endeavour’s Supply Chain strategy
- Responsibility for carrier partner engagement strategies
- Accountable for procurement outcomes (service, cost, terms and conditions)
- Manage the commercial, legal and operational implementation of contracts
- Responsible for managing compliance and safety standards of carrier partners
- Full P&L responsibility for the fbe - Inbound function
- Execution of the Transport strategy for the fbe Inbound function and manage any changes required to deliver the strategy
- Develop and maintain close and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders in the Merchandise Team.
Qualifications
Now let’s talk about you:
- 5+ years of experience in transport management roles
- Experience in business development and the ability to lead deal execution
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across an organisation
- Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering large sourcing (RFP) projects
- Knowledge and understanding of contracts and commercial models within the supply chain
- Demonstrated ability to operate at senior executive level including presenting and running meetings/workshops
