Division: Trimble Field Systems. APAC Sales Team

Location: Remote, preferable Australia but we are open to Singapore or Japan

Travel: Up to 50% in the APAC Region

As the Specialty Construction Sales Application Engineer you will be instrumental in the expansion and success of Trimble's specialty construction portfolio throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a thorough grasp of construction applications, machine control technology, and the unique market conditions within APAC. You will operate as a technical expert, a sales enablement resource, and a strategic liaison with Trimble's distribution network and client relationships.

*APAC = Asia Pacific encompassing countries from East Asia Southern Asia and Oceania.*

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

  • Deep understanding of drilling and piling, marine construction, milling, paving, and other machine control applications in civil construction.

  • Familiarity with heavy machine types, machine manufacturers, and their distribution networks across APAC.

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to train and support sales partners, driving product adoption and revenue growth.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.

  • Understanding of the APAC construction market and ability to adapt strategies to local needs.

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in construction, engineering, or a related field.

  • Proactively identifies and acts on opportunities for improvement.

  • Adapts readily to dynamic environments and evolving priorities.

  • Collaborates effectively with diverse teams and partners.

  • Focused on achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Communicates clearly and concisely in all forms.

Nice to Have, Not Required:

  • Hands-on experience with heavy machinery is a plus.

What You Will Do:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Trimble's specialty construction solutions, including Trimble GroundWorks, Trimble Marine Construction, Trimble Milling and Paving, Trimble EarthWorks, and other relevant software and hardware offerings.

  • Provide comprehensive technical training and support to Trimble's distribution partners across the APAC region, enabling them to effectively sell and implement Trimble's specialty construction solutions.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies for the specialty construction portfolio in diverse APAC markets.

  • Interface directly with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful deployment of Trimble solutions.

  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.

Travel:

  • This role requires frequent travel across the APAC region. (up to 50%)

  • APAC = Asia Pacific encompassing countries from East Asia Southern Asia and Oceania.

Trimble Field Systems develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries. These products utilize technologies such as GPS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics. They are used in a variety of applications where accurate horizontal and vertical guidance is essential for machine operators.
