Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Field Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and execution of fielding Anduril’s Ghost Shark, an extra large fully autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), for the Australian Navy. Working across Field Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Training, and Maintenance you will oversee and support deployment plans, logistics, test site / field operations, maintenance & repairs, field inventory management, and stakeholder co-ordination. Your role is central to ensuring effective customer and mission success, shaping the future success of Anduril’s Ghost Shark Program in Australia.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Anduril and develop strong working relationships with supply chain, logistics, engineering, and maintenance to ensure the successful execution of all deployments and field operations.
  • Own and flawlessly execute one-off deployments and continuous field operations. You will be asked to own and manage field operations and one off deployments.
  • Communicate effectively to keep internal and external teams informed at all times. Use the necessary tools (JIRA, Oracle) and channels (Slack, email, meetings) to ensure stakeholders understand what needs to be accomplished and when.
  • Obsess over the details and create structured plans for each deployment and field operations cycle to ensure that people and hardware are in the right place at the right time. Anduril operations require white glove service where there are no second chances or do-overs.
  • Problem solve and remove obstacles for the team and internal and external partners. Know how to think critically and engage the right teams to help.
  • Be a dedicated team player, willing to take on any task, no matter how small, and contribute to the overall success of the team by rolling up your sleeves and getting the job done.
  • Drive for continuous improvement and consistently look for ways to improve Anduril’s processes. There are constantly new challenges, so always look for ways to ease the burden on our team and customers.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
  • Mission First Mindset. We put the needs of the mission and our customers first. We actively seek out opportunities to better understand our customers’ mission needs, with a goal to build the best possible products for the warfighter.
  • Ownership Mentality. We’re looking for owners; those who have a natural bias to assume responsibility and contribute to a culture of performance.
  • Technical Aptitude and Intellectual Curiosity. Anduril is working at the leading edge of technology, so managing our operations demands technical fluency. We're looking for someone with both the aptitude and drive to understand how complex systems operate.
  • Structured Thinker and Problem Solver. Managing field operations requires clear communication and well thought-out plans. We are looking for assertive communicators who bring a thoughtful perspective and honest dialogue. A solution-driven approach, the ability to distill complexity into its essential, digestible components, and the ability to supervise execution are critical to ensure mission success.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the year
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, maritime studies, or equivalent experience in a related technical field
  • Experience in maritime operations, particularly with autonomous or unmanned systems is a plus
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a NV2 security clearance
