A Day in the LifeAs the Finance Business Partner (FBP) for Cardiovascular (CV), you will act as a strategic finance partner to Commercial Operating Units (OUs), driving business performance through insight, challenge, and financial leadership. You will provide decision support to deliver financial outcomes aligned to business strategy, while ensuring strong governance and alignment with Global OU Finance.This role sits within the CV Business Finance team and reports to the CV Finance Manager. It plays a critical role in articulating performance, aligning plans, identifying risks and opportunities, and enabling high-quality commercial decision-making across a complex, multinational environment.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Act as the primary finance partner to Commercial OU leaders, providing insight, challenge, and decision support to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost discipline.
Lead quarterly forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Strategic Planning processes, ensuring alignment with Integrated Business Planning and Global OU Finance.
Own performance reporting and monthly reviews, clearly articulating key drivers, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
Deliver scenario modelling and financial analysis to support pricing, investment, portfolio, and resource allocation decisions.
Translate business strategies into financial targets and ensure accurate, timely system submissions across revenue, margin, and operating expenses.
Build strong cross-functional relationships across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to enable aligned decision-making in a matrix environment.
Maintain a robust financial control environment and drive continuous improvement in forecasting, planning, and reporting processes.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum requirement is Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting) with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
CPA/CA Qualified
Demonstrated strong experience in business partnering
Advanced excel and data modelling skills and knowledge
Experience with financial/reporting and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion/Essbase, Anaplan, OneStream etc.), PowerBI and other data visualisations tools
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to business strategy
High accountability and ownership mindset
Proactive, solutions-oriented, and positive approach
Strong influencing skills with the confidence to challenge constructively
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a multinational environment
Strong analytical and data-handling capabilities
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic commercial environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
