The Role 

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Business Partner plays a key role in supporting the financial performance of the ANZ Retail stream of the Travelex business in the ANZ region. The role combines strong management accounting and financial control with commercial analysis and insight, enabling high-quality decision-making and effective business performance management. 

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial outcomes, while working closely with business stakeholders to interpret results, provide insight, and support commercial decision-making. The role acts as a trusted advisor to the business, translating financial information into clear, actionable insights that support operational and strategic objectives. 

This role works closely with both local and global Finance teams. 

Key accountabilities include: 

  • Business Partnering & Commercial insights  providing commercial insights, analysis to support decision makers in the ANZ business. 

  • Financial Performance & Control – managing all monthly, quarterly, and yearly obligations including Reporting on Intercompany, Cashflow and CAPEX 

  • Process & collaboration – working closely with both local and finance teams to ensure all processes and governance is completed in an accurate and timely basis. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement across ANZ and globally 

This role is an integral part of the finance team and will suit someone who thrives in a busy, fast paced environment that wants to make a positive contribution to the business and finance function. 

 

Your Profile 

You are a passionate, enthusiastic, team player who thrives on partner with key stakeholders to support with business initiatives and growth.  You possess strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data, providing meaningful insights to support business decision making. This is complimented by advanced Excel Skills, working knowledge of SQL and BI tools such as Power BI/ Superset. In addition, you have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate financial information and insights to non-finance stakeholders. You are able to work with multiple stakeholders and develop solid working relationships across a variety of teams, internally, externally, and globally to ensure that objectives are met. Your previous experience working within a multi-national and matrixed organisation will be highly desirable. 

Key attributes: 

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance and ideally CA/ CPA qualified 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance within a commercial environment 

  • Experience with Oracle and Blackline be highly desirable. 

  • Exposure to shared services or offshore delivery models
