Join our FP&A team as a Finance Data Analyst based in our North Sydney office. The Finance Data Analyst role within the Equifax ANZ FP&A team blends a focus on data analysis and visualization with traditional finance analyst responsibilities. This role is pivotal in enhancing financial planning and analysis through the development and utilisation of Tableau visualisations, while managing critical aspects of labour cost and headcount planning in partnership with division aligned finance analyst business partners. The successful candidate will leverage their dual expertise in finance and data analytics to manage labour planning and provide accurate and insightful data, driving efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making for the business's financial performance.

What you’ll do

  • Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for Headcount and Labour costs.

  • Maintain data accuracy and consistency within Tableau reports and financial datasets.

  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and create effective visualizations.

  • Develop and maintain labour cost and headcount models, incorporating business drivers and assumptions.

  • Manage the process of capturing actuals, forecasting offshore labour, and loading system data.

  • Assist in the production of monthly labour cost and headcount reports, providing variance analysis and insights.

  • Coordinate data from Finance (Oracle, Essbase), HR (Workday), and manual sources for comprehensive labour views.

  • Implement and maintain control frameworks for labour cost and headcount data.

  • Identify and investigate variances in actual vs. forecasted results and contribute to process improvements.

  • Ensure system data integrity through validation and reconciliation processes.

What experience you need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Data analyst or FP&A role.

  • Proficiency in Tableau Desktop/Server and proven track record in developing Tableau visualisation outputs

  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting concepts and experience with labour cost and headcount planning.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.).

  • Experience with Oracle systems (or similar ERP) and Essbase financial planning software is extremely desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
