Finance Manager (FP&A) – Funds Management Business Performance 

  • We’re looking for a commercially minded and collaborative Finance Manager to join our high-performing Funds Management Performance & Analytics team.  

  • This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll be a go-to finance partner for our Funds Management business 

  • We work flexibly from our Sydney CBD office, typically 3 days in-office and 2 days from home. 

 

What you’ll do 

This role combines hands on reporting and analysis with forward-looking strategy and commercial partnering. You’ll be directly responsible for the budgeting and rolling forecasting process across Funds Management and be involved in monthly management reporting. 

Sitting in the Finance team you’ll work closely with Fidante, its affiliate partners, and the broader Funds Management team. It’s a role that offers visibility, impact, and the opportunity to deliver meaningful outcomes in a supportive and inclusive environment. 

Typical responsibilities you'll be involved in; 

  • Preparing, consolidating, and delivering forecasting, budgeting, and planning outputs across Funds Management and affiliates. 

  • Delivering variance & trend analysis, scenario modelling, and performance commentary to senior stakeholders, with a focus on producing accurate and timely insights. 

  • Driving automation and continuous improvement by designing and maintaining models using platforms like Anaplan, Workiva, and Workday. 

  • Enhance sales profitability and expense analysis to inform growth strategies and provide insights. 

  • Assist with transactions and financial due diligence. 

  • Partnering with Investor Relations and senior leaders to align insights and expectations and support investor releases. 

  • Supporting and guiding junior team members while remaining actively engaged in day-to-day analysis and reporting 

 

Skills and experience you'll need

You’re a CA/CPA-qualified finance professional with proven experience in Financial Services. You’ve held a Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner role with full accountability for financial planning, reporting, and analysis, and have delivered actionable insights that influence senior decision-making.  

 

You communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, present complex information effectively, and take a proactive approach to managing priorities and resolving challenges. 

 

As well as 

  • Delivered end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. 

  • Advanced Excel and strong technical skills with finance systems, and data tools. 

  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like Anaplan, Workiva, Workday, or Power BI (preferred). 

  • Experience in funds management is desirable but not essential.
