Primary Purpose
- Provide a full business partner support role to the VP Sales, the Area Business Directors and their staff for the three industries, alongside Major Accounts and Big Truck teams. The role will also provide expertise to the EMEA Managing Director and to the EMEA VP Finance.
- Provide financial expertise with strategic business unit analysis & reporting; includes responsibility for supporting strategic decision making in relation to Brand resources.
- Provide daily operational management to a team of Financial Analysts
- Responsibility for and co-ordination of FP&A processes & reporting for near-term forecasting, for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Short Term Forecasting (STF) cycles and LRFF (Long range Financial forecast).
- Responsibility for providing high quality, accurate margin reporting and analysis throughout.
Key Accountabilities
- Analysis and oversight of monthly financial results and related variances to latest forecast and AOP.
- Present operating results and analysis to Senior management at Monthly Operating Reviews.
- Provide key leadership and direction in controlling the AOP & STF processes for new units sales and margins.
- Provide full business partnering support across the Hyster & Yale brands. Provide financial expertise and direction to the Sales Management teams. Be first point of contact for all Sales related finance issues.
- Provide leadership and expertise in the measurement and communication of the performance of strategic business units within the organisation.
- Responsible for the communication of the annual MIP (Marketing Incentive Plans) targets across the brands, and for the quarterly assessments on the Units and Parts incentive schemes.
- Provide leadership and expertise in relation to MIP policy decision making. Ensure timely and accurate calculations are provided to HR each quarter.
- Ad-hoc value added reporting analysis for VP Sales and Management team.
- EMEA-level reporting and analysis for VP Finance, Director FP&A and MD EMEA.
- Drive consistency of approach and sharing of best practice across FP&A.
- Responsible for ledger accuracy across the key areas of discount, commission and product cost accruals.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Formal Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA) with minimum 5 years PQE.
- Minimum 5 years' PQE experience in similar industry /role.
