The Finance Manager ensures the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial results, with ownership of the P&L and balance sheet.

The role oversees financial reporting in a non-bank auto finance environment, ensuring compliance with standards while validating system data, reconciling information, and maintaining strong financial controls.  A key focus is driving process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data integrity across the finance function.

In this role you have the opportunity to partner with senior leadership to provide insights that support decision-making and business growth.

Key Deliverables;

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, including ownership of the P&L and balance sheet

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting through reconciliation of sub-ledgers, product systems, and the general ledger

  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management

  • Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making and portfolio performance

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies

  • Maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks, including balance sheet reconciliations and substantiation

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely delivery of requirements

Transactional Finance Oversight

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and effective controls
    Ensure appropriate approval workflows, payment controls, and collection processes
    Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce risk

Team Leadership

  • Set objectives, manage performance, and support team development

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement

  • Ensure appropriate resourcing and prioritisation to meet business needs

Systems, Data & Process Integrity

  • Oversee integrity of financial data from core systems and resolve data issues with relevant teams

  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and system enhancements

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, supporting the enterprise risk framework

  • Monitor key risk indicators, including credit, funding, and liquidity risks, ensuring appropriate controls and reporting**

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • Professional qualification (CPA, CA, or equivalent) essential

Experiences

  • Significant experience in a Finance Manager or equivalent role, preferably within financial services, lending, or a non-bank financing environment

  • Experience leading and developing teams, including setting clear expectations, holding individuals accountable, and managing performance

  • Strong understanding of applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, with hands-on experience in audit processes and compliance

  • Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end financial reporting, including full P&L and balance sheet accountability
