Tech Finance is responsible for the provision of financial control, reporting and planning services to the Technology division. We work closely with our stakeholders to help them understand their cost bases and deliver current and future strategic and financial plans. Technology Finance’s mission is to “influence strategic outcomes through transparent insights and passionate people”. Your team forms part of the wider Technology Finance Team of approximately 90 people and provides financial management, planning and controls services to Group and Business Unit CIOs.

Technology Finance’s primary role is to:

  • Provide insights, analysis and advice in relation to past and future financial performance
  • Provide robust financial control and effective management reporting
  • Provide decision support and reporting for Technology strategic initiatives and investment programs
  • Develop and deliver meaningful insights to drive better business outcomes, including cost optimisation and simplification
  • Provide guidance and advice to the business leaders on the financial performance of the business, the financial plans and forecasts and the financial impacts of change initiatives

Do work that matters

Your role is to support the Senior Manager, EM and GM of Technology Finance, the Technology Finance Leadership Team and the wider Finance community within CBA, through the delivery of transformation programs for Technology Finance. This includes the delivery of programs to support Pace in Technology, process improvement and standardisation across Technology Finance, and delivery of AI and BI solutions. To deliver on outcomes, you will have extensive dealings across the broader Technology Finance team as well other Finance teams across the Group.

As well as, but not limited to:

  • Proactively drive productivity and process improvements across Technology Finance through both BI initiatives and Program Delivery.
  • Co-ordinate multiple large projects and programs of work across Technology Finance, including standardisation and process improvements in Technology Finance COE, and new projects when the need arises.
  • Partner with the BI capability within the team to assist with the delivery of standardisation and process improvements across Technology Finance.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with Finance, Risk and Business stakeholders

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and the demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity to deliver solutions that improve processes, reporting and/or risk posture.  
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with proven experience in advising, challenging and influencing senior stakeholders and business outcomes.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically to drive outcomes.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Enterprise-minded and collaborative team player who demonstrates a strong commitment to teamwork and delivering outcomes that benefit the broader team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
