About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced ERP Implementation Consultant to guide our organisation through a critical digital transformation. This contractor will be instrumental in replacing our legacy financial (Certinia) and operational (Ascent ERP) systems with a modern, global ERP solution capable of supporting 10x revenue scale and our planned expansion into multi-national manufacturing.

The ideal candidate possesses deep functional expertise in global finance, manufacturing, and supply chain processes, coupled with proven experience in end-to-end ERP selection and implementation projects.

What you'll do

Initially, you will be functioning as the lead Business Analyst and Project Coordinator, ensuring a robust, unbiased selection process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Gathering:
  • Conduct detailed workshops with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Leadership to finalize functional and non-functional requirements, with a specific focus on multi-entity consolidation, accurate FX management, and robust audit trails.
  • Document 'Current State' processes (Certinia/Ascent/Salesforce) and define 'Future State' global process maps.
  1. RFP and Vendor Management:
  • Prepare and finalize the Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, ensuring all critical requirements (especially global finance and Salesforce integration) are clearly specified.
  • Support the shortlisting process and coordinate vendor demonstrations (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, D365), evaluating vendor responses against defined criteria.
  1. Project Management Support:
  • Assist the internal PMO with project planning, risk management, and communication across all internal stakeholders.

Following the selection of the new ERP, your duties will transition into a key implementation role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Configuration:
  • Lead the detailed design phase, translating business requirements into technical configurations within the chosen ERP system.
  • Focus on configuring the global chart of accounts, intercompany accounting, multi-currency settings, and consolidation hierarchies.
  1. Integration Management:
  • Work closely with internal IT and integration partners to design and test the critical, real-time interface between the new ERP and Salesforce CRM, mitigating the decoupling risk.
  1. Testing and Training:
  • Develop test scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), particularly for financial consolidation and complex manufacturing scenarios.
  • Support the creation of training materials and deliver training to end-users across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in ERP implementation roles (Consultant, Lead BA, or Project Manager).
  • Must have recent experience with one or more Tier 1/Tier 2 global ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Mandatory Expertise in Global Financial Management, including multi-entity consolidation, multi-currency accounting, and foreign exchange (FX) valuation.
  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain processes.
  • Proven experience in defining, documenting, and managing requirements (RFP preparation).
  • Strong technical understanding of CRM (Salesforce) integration principles and data alignment challenges.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Ideally tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent + ADF experience is highly regarded and Veterans are encouraged to apply
