Why you will love this opportunity as Financial Accountant at Civica
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting key financial functions and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role is responsible for producing monthly management reports, conducting financial analysis with actionable recommendations, and assist in managing budgeting and forecasting for central cost divisions. The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining strong relationships within the Civica International finance network while ensuring an efficient and professional office environment.
The role involves preparation of month-end and year-end reports, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and analysing variances between budgeted and actual performance. You will provide financial support for cost control initiatives and improvement projects while ensuring compliance with financial regulations, standards, and company policies. Additionally, this position requires assisting with financial statements and audits, maintaining strong internal controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.
Reporting to the APAC Financial Controller and Finance Manager, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to business-as-usual (BAU) objectives while collaborating with offshore finance team members. What you will do to be successful in this role
- Accounting or equivalent business qualification.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in similar role.
- Intermediate skills Excel (including good working knowledge of pivot tables).
- Good communication skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Comply with all company policies including Information Security Policies
- Experience with Sun Systems and Workday would be advantageous.
