The Role:
We are on the hunt for a collaborative and autonomous Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at an exciting time! Reporting into our Head of Finance, you will work collaboratively across the business and play a key part in driving process improvement initiatives through our Finance function, positively impacting our wider team and multi-entity organisation.
You will play a crucial part in providing precise and timely financial, accounting, and broader financial support to Showpo. As the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing payment processing, expense oversight, payroll, and various financial reporting duties.

Day to day, you will:
- Execute payment runs and diligently reconcile expenses, purchase orders, invoices and statements to the general ledger.
- Calculate and process payroll transactions, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements
- Monthly lodgment of GST/IAS/BAS Activity Statements while ensuring compliance, including support for international tax compliance.
- Financial statement preparation
- Act as the key financial liaison with wholesale operations to facilitate accurate invoicing and efficient collections of receivables
- Reconcile credit card transactions and follow up on receipts from the team
- Engage in data reconciliation related to inventory management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding payments and credits
- Continuously improve the payments process by developing procedures and supporting the team
- Identify and implement Xero app integrations and workflow automations to streamline payment cycles, expense management, and month-end reconciliations.
- Assist in multi-entity consolidation and maintain intercompany loan reconciliations across regional trading entities.

- CA/CPA Qualified (or working towards)
- Previous experience in an Accounting role
