🚀 Position Summary
As our first in-house finance hire, you’ll take ownership of our financial operations and lay the groundwork for scalable, strategic financial management. You’ll work closely with company leadership, partner with external accounting providers, and build systems and models that support budgeting, forecasting, and investor reporting.
We’re looking for someone with strong SaaS finance experience, a hands-on approach, and a desire to help shape the future of our finance function as we scale.
💻 How You'll Create Impact
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations across multiple entities (Australia and the U.S.) in partnership with outsourced providers
- Lead the development of company-wide financial models, including dynamic forecasting and multi-year planning
- Build and manage budgeting processes, including department-level planning and variance tracking
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and board-level financial reporting
- Implement scalable internal controls, policies, and systems to ensure compliance and financial hygiene
- Monitor and manage cash flow, intercompany transactions, and capital planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support hiring plans, vendor decisions, and budget alignment
- Support fundraising activities and investor reporting, including financial due diligence
✅ What We Need From You
- 8+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with significant exposure to SaaS business models
- Proven track record of building or scaling a finance function at a high-growth startup
- Experience managing financial operations across multiple global entities (Australia and the U.S. required)
- CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP/IFRS) and experience managing - external accounting providers
- Excellent financial modeling and forecasting skills
- Strong business acumen and communication skills—you can partner with leaders across departments and tell the story behind the numbers
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment with high autonomy
🌟 Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like Xero, Rippling, Ramp, Airbase, or similar
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics and subscription revenue models
- Exposure to fundraising, M&A, or investor due diligence
