About Neon

Neon is a global payments and e-commerce platform designed to help game publishers earn more money and independence from app stores. We believe commerce should be open and transparent: clear decisions, actionable insights, and aligned incentives. Founded by payments, fintech and gaming veterans, Neon focuses on product and partnership excellence: we share the playbook, co-pilot decisions, and abstract away risk and complexity for our customers. We’re replacing old-school, black-box relics with clear, modern, and developer-centric infrastructure.

As an early team member, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and scale Neon’s product and culture, making a direct impact on our growth and success. You’ll join a collaborative, diverse team from world-class companies like Apple, Affirm, Unity, and Visa, backed by renowned VC's including Thrive, a16z, Griffin Gaming, Ribbit, and Renegade. If you want to build disruptive technology, challenge the status quo, and help game creators thrive on their own terms, read on.

Why Join Neon?

  • Game-Changing Mission: Be part of a company fundamentally changing how the gaming industry operates, helping creators build, run, and scale their businesses on their own terms.

  • Ownership & Impact: As an early member of the engineering team, you’ll have ownership of the development and scaling of our flagship webshop product, making a direct impact on the company’s success.

  • Disruptive Technology: Help create fintech tools that challenge the status quo, empowering independent game creators in the same way Neon challenges major platforms.

  • High-Profile Backing: Join a high-potential startup with renowned backers and investors supporting our mission to disrupt the gaming industry.

  • Collaborative Team: Work with a diverse team of low-ego, kind, and talented individuals from varied backgrounds including Stanford, Affirm, Palantir, Supercell, Apple, and Netflix.

About You

You’re passionate about doing your life’s best work, collaborating with highly talented individuals, and contributing to an ambitious mission. You are a high-impact engineer who learns by doing, enjoys taking ownership of projects, and wants to grow as an engineer and leader in your next role. You’re excited by the chance to shape Neon’s product, team, and culture, and you’ve already led successful projects that uplifted those around you.

About the Role

Neon is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who will scale the partner engineering function. You’ll work alongside our sales and customer success teams to build and manage developer onboarding, own our customer-facing documentation, and build out new features for our customers. You’ll also shape the direction of the team: manage how the team grows and set the standards for your teammates at Neon.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in partner engineering or a similar customer-facing engineering role.

  • You have experience writing and maintaining API documentation for complex technical products.

  • You have experience with, and are willing to flex into, full-stack product development to manage specific customer requests.

  • You are highly productive, able to take ownership of key initiatives and deliver results.

  • You have experience leading teams or projects and enjoy helping others level up their skills.

  • You’re located or willing to work from Seoul, South Korea.

  • Must be fluent in English and Korean

This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage, high-growth company and work alongside some of the brightest minds in gaming, fintech, and tech. If you’re ready to contribute to a mission-driven team and help us accelerate change in the gaming industry, we’d love to hear from you.

Join Neon. Shape the Future of Gaming.
