Senior Frontend Engineer – Content
As a Senior Frontend Engineer in the Content group, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering impactful customer experiences across Domain’s consumer web products. You’ll work across modern Frontend technologies (React, TypeScript) and supporting Node.js services, contributing directly to product strategy, platform maturity, and long-term architectural direction.
You’ll collaborate closely with product, design and engineering peers to deliver features that are scalable, maintainable and grounded in customer value. You will also actively participate in improving engineering standards, tooling and operational health across the stack.
What you’ll do
• Design, build and maintain high-quality, performant web applications using React and TypeScript, supported by Node.js services where required.
• Work with Product Managers and Designers to shape solutions from problem definition through to delivery and iteration.
• Champion engineering best practice — clean architecture, testing, observability, performance and accessibility.
• Contribute to Frontend and Architecture Guilds, sharing knowledge and influencing broader engineering direction.
• Proactively manage system health, technical debt, and resilience across your domain.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, post-incident reviews and drive continuous reliability improvements.
• Mentor and support engineers within the squad to raise capability and delivery confidence.
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript, with exposure to Node.js, API integration and modern build tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable Frontend architecture with clear patterns, separation of concerns and code health.
• Strong collaboration skills — able to work closely with product and design, and communicate trade-offs effectively.
• A pragmatic approach to technology choices — balancing innovation, delivery efficiency and long-term maintainability.
• Interest in performance, reliability and operational excellence, including logging, monitoring and post-incident learning.
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn, adapt and share knowledge within the team and broader engineering community.
