Meet the LEAP Web team
The LEAP Web team are building the foundational platform upon which all LEAP services will be developed and delivered. Previously LEAP had a powerful desktop application, which has helped legal firms optimise their workflows, and we are now moving all these features to the Web. This team of Frontend Developers are a group of proactive, creative thinkers who take pride in being technologically adaptable, skilled at troubleshooting, and using their skills to facilitate great user experiences.
What you'll do
A central focus of this role is evolving LEAP Web to match and ultimately exceed the functionality of LEAP Desktop. This is one of the most important initiatives within LEAP Dev, and the work you contribute will help shape the future of our core platform as we transition customers to the web.
You will join a team of experienced Frontend Engineers who will support you in getting up to speed with our product and the legal domain. Day to day, you will work across a mix of bug fixes, performance and stability improvements, and the development of new features and enhancements. Alongside maintaining and strengthening the existing product, you will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas, explore new approaches and help drive innovation in a product that is rapidly becoming the centre of our ecosystem.
To make this happen, you will:
- Design and develop high-quality, responsive UI using Angular and other web frameworks, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Improve the architecture of front-end components, optimising code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Work closely with UX designers and back-end developers.
- Take ownership of front-end components, driving the technical direction and setting coding standards.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
What you'll bring
You are a focused, motivated and hard-working developer who wants to join a fantastic growing team at a critical time and learn on the job to expand your skills. Your technical skillset might look like this:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development
- A deep understanding of HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, along with strong experience in the Angular framework.
- A knack for UI/UX design principles and a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Strong experience with modern software development workflows and tools like Scrum, Kanban, Jira, git, clean code practices, and code review processes.
- Having experience with Stencil.js and React frameworks is a plus.

- Proven track record in front-end development and passion for keeping up with the latest trends and best practices.
