We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Web Developer with strong React experience to join our Bunnings Technology team.

About the role
Build on where you’ve come from and put your React expertise to work on digital experiences used by millions of customers across Australia and New Zealand. As a Full Stack Developer at Bunnings, you’ll play a hands‑on role shaping modern, customer‑facing web platforms - leading with strong frontend thinking while confidently working across the backend to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

This is a role for developers who care deeply about quality UI, thoughtful engineering and building software that lasts. You’ll be surrounded by people who enjoy solving real problems together, sharing knowledge and backing each other - Inspiring you to give it a red hot go as you continue to grow your full stack capability.

What’s involved
You’ll be trusted to make meaningful contributions across the full development lifecycle, with a strong focus on modern React delivery.

You’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Design and build rich, high‑performance web experiences using React, Next.js and TypeScript, with a strong focus on usability, accessibility and maintainability.
  • Shape frontend architecture and patterns that scale, balancing speed of delivery with long‑term quality.
  • Build and evolve ASP.NET Core APIs in C#, supporting the web experiences you help design.
  • Contribute to API contracts, integration patterns and secure data flows between frontend and backend.
  • Write clean, well‑tested code and strengthen automated testing across UI, API and integration layers.
  • Improve performance, reliability and observability across both web and backend services.
  • Work with modern CI/CD pipelines, containerised workflows and Git‑based development practices to get changes safely into production.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and engineers - contributing to technical discussions, code reviews and agile ceremonies.
  • Share knowledge through documentation, peer support and everyday collaboration.

You’ll see your work land, learn from real customer feedback and have the space to influence how we build and improve our platforms.

About you
You’re a hands‑on full stack developer who enjoys seeing a piece of work through from idea to production, with React firmly at the centre of how you like to build. You care about writing clean, well‑structured code and about how the things you create actually feel for users. You think beyond the immediate delivery, considering how solutions will scale, evolve and be supported over time.

You enjoy working in collaborative, down‑to‑earth teams where trust, openness and shared ownership are part of everyday work. You take pride in frontend craftsmanship and thoughtful UI decisions, while feeling comfortable stepping into backend services when needed to solve the problem properly. You’re curious by nature and enjoy learning new tools, patterns and ways of working, whether that’s evolving a React codebase, improving APIs, or making use of modern web and Node.js tooling to support delivery.

You’re pragmatic and solution‑focused, balancing quality with momentum and you take accountability for the outcomes you help deliver. You communicate clearly and thoughtfully, enjoy working with people from different disciplines and value environments where ideas are shared freely and improvement is continuous. You’ll be joining an engineering group that values steady progress, shared responsibility and innovative thinking - a team that supports your growth and encourages you to keep raising the bar together.
What you’ll need
  • 3+ years’ experience delivering production‑grade software in a full stack web environment.
  • Strong experience with React, TypeScript and Next.js.
  • Solid experience building APIs and backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core.
  • A good understanding of RESTful API design, authentication and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with automated testing across frontend and backend.
  • Familiarity with containerised development, CI/CD pipelines and modern Git workflows.
  • A background in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
