Support the design and development of a web application platform, including UI/UX, API and database development, and testing. Work collaboratively as part of the development team while gaining hands-on technical experience.
Tasks:
- Support the design and development of the company web application platform
- End to End solution design (e.g. mock-ups, solution specifications, user interface
- Specifications, API design, database design)
- Own various design tasks involved in the development life cycle from start to finish
- Develop HTML/CSS/VueJS screens
- Ensure screens are user-friendly and responsive for a desktop and mobile experience
- Develop Golang APIs and backend services
- Develop MongoDB and PostgreSQL persistence services
- Test the solution and identify any technical problems
- Test application UI/UX
- Build and deploy solutions to AWS using CI/CD process
- Gain hands-on technical skills, as well as digital marketing business acumen, in partnership with Kontext management
- Gather experience on how to be a trusted advisor
- Work your way to be a future leader for project definition, estimating processes and delivery
- Foster teamwork among various solution leads and consultant

You must be comfortable working independently, in a distributed environment and taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.

The intern position is for a high-energy individual. This role will include project-based work as well as day to day activities that assist the company’s development team.
Requirements:
- Be a versatile developer with either, but ideally, both front end and back end experience in building web applications Page 2 of 2
- At least 1-2 years’ hands-on experience with web applications and programming languages such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API’s
- Experience on frameworks like VueJS (preferred) or AngularJS
- Proficiency in at least one server-side technology (Golang, Java, PHP, NodeJS, Python, Ruby). Golang preferred
- Great organizational, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written
- Strong relationship skills with a high degree of self-awareness
- You love solving problems and taking on new challenges
- You can work as part of a team, able to adapt and take guidance
- You are comfortable in communicating with new people by phone and face to face
- You can execute against a defined goal or target
- You pay attention to the details: anything worth doing is worth doing right
- You can cope with ambiguity, stay calm under pressure and are comfortable with change

- Experience in Analytics is a plus
- Applicants must supply examples of web applications they have built in the past

- Commitment to work 3 days per week for a 12 weeks period
