Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Define and execute Japan-specific marketing strategies aligned with global brand and gaming peripherals objectives, with full ownership of local execution
- Establish and manage close working relationships with influencers, creators, esports figures, media, and community partners to drive sustained product visibility and brand credibility
- Collaborate with sales teams to create sales enablement tools and promotional materials for channel partners
- Plan and execute Japan-specific go-to-market and product launch activities, coordinating with global teams, agencies, and partners to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Manage influencer programs, media reviews, and awards tracking, ensuring timely execution and clear reporting of coverage
- Lead events, trade shows, and local partnerships, representing the brand within the Japanese gaming community.
- Coordinate and execute POSM development, retail display support, merchandising materials, and offline events, working directly with vendors and partners to deliver on-site results.
- Track campaign performance, community feedback, and market insights, and continuously optimize execution to improve effectiveness.
- Manage local marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI on marketing initiatives.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Action-oriented self-starter with the ability to own marketing initiatives end to end
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on market execution
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Strong understanding of marketing strategies, channels, and branding, with established knowledge of and connections within the Japanese gaming ecosystem, including influencers, media, and gaming communities.
- Proven experience leading product launches, go-to-market execution, and integrated marketing campaigns
- Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring campaign performance / ROI
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Be fluent in English and Japanese (both spoken and written)
- Ability to work under pressure and able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks with tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of the Gaming market and gamer/enthusiast communities
- Proven track record of delivering measurable marketing results
