Commencing on an initial 11-month fixed term contract, the Gaming & Motorsports Specialist (GMS) is responsible for supporting and executing the National Gaming and Motorsport strategy as well as contributing to the long-term vision in line with wider business objectives & strategies. The role of the GMS is to drive cross functional collaboration with sales functions and 360 marketing outcomes across both programs, leveraging the Red Bull Marketing & Sales mix. They will be responsible for seeing all projects through to flawless execution within budget throughout the phases of ideating, planning, executing and review. A key area of focus will be leveraging opinion leaders, athletes, and Red Bull players effectively and credibly via great networks and collaboration skills.
Job Description
SUPPORT IN LEADING & EXECUTING RED BULL GAMING & MOTORSPORT EVENTS
- Oversee, manage and contribute to the delivery and execution of Red Bull Gaming & Motorsport events ensuring they are on time, on budget, with KPIs met and with all necessary legal & administrative requirements covered.
- Lead external parties to source, brief and contract agencies, businesses, and individuals to manage and contribute to Red Bull events.
- Collaborate with Red Bull Media Network, Field Marketing and Brand Marketing teams to plan and execute strong events that enable each department / team to achieve mutual goals and objectives.
- Unlock efficiencies and identify cost savings and strategies to strengthen output.
- Identify ways in which we can bring Red Bull to life delivering consumer brand & can love at third party support events. (For e.g. Athlete Areas, National Event Series and functional branded infrastructure on course).
- Information sharing, planning and internal debrief documents, for all event related topics (update event calendar and factsheets, news-postings etc.) and answer all event related consumer requests and Red Bull participant enquiries via the consumer enquiry portal.
SUPPORT THE GAMING & MOTORSPORTS MARKETING MANAGERS ACROSS A VARIETY OF STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
- Manage ongoing communication and optimisation of the Sports marketing strategy. This includes developing marketing plans in collaboration with other marketing departments, resulting in greater impact from initiatives.
- Work closely with sales teams on initiatives which will drive can sales by bring our marketing assets to life in store. Pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation for our customers and consumers.
- Support in strategy development support across the Business Planning Process year on year, by considering new event concepts, new identified talent to partner with, new content ideas, driving further relevance in gaming and motorsports and how it all links to can sales.
- Support in development of strong merchandise lines and opportunities to drive further brand love for consumers and commercial returns.
- Work closely with creator portfolio to activate campaigns, events, and content projects. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and agreed-upon KPIs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and creators to ideate and executive innovative, audience-focused gaming content that drives engagement and growth.
CONTRIBUTE TO BUSINESS GROWHT THROUGH GAMING & MOTORSPORTS
- Develop new and maintain existing strategic relationships with businesses, individuals, and organisations in line with our business’ long-term vision and priorities.
- Oversee and support the evolution of the Australian Motorsport strategy across the Business Planning Process establishing a local face to our global Motorsport program.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to generate new revenue streams from the gaming and motorsports programs i.e., Ticket sales, e-commerce, merchandise, new initiatives, and distribution etc.
- Stay up to date on trends, opportunities and emerging talent in the gaming and esports economy. Identify new concepts to help our Gaming team vision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Events or Sports or similar
- Minimum 2 years Marketing, project and/or agency management experience (or similar)
- Previous experience working within gaming industry with strong Australian gaming industry knowledge, and motorsports is preferred (not limited to professional experience)
- Experience in working cross functionally in a project team and/or leading campaigns
