Job Description

As an AI Architect within our Google Cloud practice at NCS Australia, you will lead the end-to-end solution architecture for multiple high-profile Generative AI projects. This is a senior, client-facing position where you will act as the technical authority, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and cutting-edge Google Cloud technology. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving high-level designs, ensuring that every solution we deploy is built on a foundation of security, cost-efficiency, and robust MLOps.

Beyond the initial design, you will manage the entire development lifecycle for project applications. You will be accountable for maintaining elite code quality, managing deployment schedules, and optimizing developer resources to ensure our delivery aligns with Google Cloud best practices. Your leadership ensures that our GenAI solutions are not just innovative, but operationally stable and compliant. You will actively manage operational budgets and Google Cloud costs, enforcing strict MLOps and security SOPs across your project portfolio to guarantee long-term success for our clients.

Your impact will be deep as you lead client engagements and discovery workshops. You will work closely with client leadership to align AI solution values with their specific KPIs, presenting compelling business cases and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis. By partnering with our Senior Managers on long-term AI strategy, you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation of Australia’s leading enterprises.

Qualifications

You are a strategic technologist who thrives in a consultancy environment, balancing deep technical expertise with the communication skills required to influence senior stakeholders. You don't just build models; you build production-ready ecosystems.

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Architectural Expertise: Proven experience designing and overseeing end-to-end AI/ML solutions specifically on Google Cloud, with a focus on Vertex AI and Model Garden.

  • Operational Rigor: A strong background in MLOps and serverless-first engineering, with the ability to govern development standards and ensure operational stability.

  • Client Centricity: Excellent communication skills with experience leading discovery workshops and presenting technical roadmaps to non-technical executive audiences.

  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing project scopes and operational budgets, specifically regarding cloud consumption and resource optimization.

  • Certified Excellence: You hold (or are ready to achieve) the following certifications:

    • Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer

    • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

    • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer
