What’s the Opportunity
The General Manager (GM) of Marketing has accountability for planning and execution of marketing for Fisher & Paykel Brands (FPA) brands to increase market share and deliver profitable growth in the short and long term in the Australian market. Partnering with global leadership and wider marketing group to ensure effective brand-aligned marketing execution across all channels and customer touch points for the Market. Providing inspirational leadership, and direction to the marketing team that increases product market share and profitable sales growth across all channels aligned to FPA’s global goal and strategic imperatives.
Key Deliverables
Planning and Execution: Responsible for effective implementation of the marketing strategies for all brands, ensuring investment and measurement alignment with global imperatives and market growth aspirations, balanced between long term brand building and shorter-term conversion drivers.
Ensures disciplined and effective execution of those plans, with specific responsibility with the team for Trade marketing investments.
Promotes personal responsibility for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan’s implementation, through the use of People + Purpose processes and tools, to drive delivery to plan.
Team Leadership: Provides quality, hands on leadership, creating a thoughtful vision of what success looks like to engage the people in the marketing team to deliver the right work that will strengthen marketing’s performance.
Stakeholder Management: Ensures appropriate stakeholder management approaches are taken within the marketing team to ensure highly effective cross-functional collaboration with product and sales and global marketing group.
Marketing Best Practice: Deeply understands the marketing strategy and environmental influences. Keeps current on changes and marketing best practice that influence marketing’s strategic plans across all in-market channels.
Collaborates closely with in-market channels to ensure the effective introduction of new products into the market.
