Job Description

Minor Hotels is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. This pivotal role oversees the Hotel, Food & Beverage, Elysia Wellness Retreat, Conferencing & Events, Golf, and Body Corporate matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MICE operations with proven leadership across diverse hospitality operations.

Please note this role is based in Hunter Valley, NSW. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations across all departments, ensuring operational excellence and financial performance.
  • Maximise revenue, guest satisfaction, and conference/event business through strategic planning and execution.
  • Develop and mentor high-performing teams to foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Maintain operational standards, oversee body corporate matters, and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with commercial functions including marketing, sales, revenue management, and digital strategy to drive growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven senior leadership experience in hospitality, ideally as a General Manager or Cluster GM.
  • Extensive experience in MICE, Food & Beverage, Spa/Wellness operations. 
  • Strong financial, operational, and strategic business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
