About the Role:

This role runs the Genetic Sciences and Clinical Sequencing product portfolio in New South Wales, particularly Sydney. You will deliver technology solutions to improve medical and scientific research and clinical outcomes. The portfolio includes next generation sequencing, microarray, capillary electrophoresis, and qPCR across various accounts.

What You'll Do:
  • Drive business outcomes and build a sales funnel in the CRM.
  • Develop and execute a robust business plan.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to surpass commercial goals for designated accounts.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and delivering the Thermo Fisher value proposition.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships through regular sales calls and strategic partnerships.
  • Understand competitor and industry activity and stay informed about new products/services.
  • Manage key sales processes: tenders, quoting, sales funnels, forecasting, CRM, territory and account planning, and account reviews.
  • Align product solutions and services with key customer initiatives.
  • Attend conferences and industry exhibitions to promote offerings and generate new opportunities.
  • Partner with local sales, marketing, FAS, and FSE teams to build business opportunities and coordinate approaches with customers.
  • Meet revenue and annual sales targets for the territory and contribute to regional goals.

Keys to Success

Education

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science and strong life science including genomics knowledge is preferred

Experience

  • Sales experience - at least 2 years relevant experience in sales and account relationship management preferred. A confirmed understanding of local market and products is desired.
  • Experience in a wide range of molecular biology techniques including, Sample Preparation, PCR, Real Time PCR, DNA and RNA sequencing.

  • Customer Relationship Builder, Ability to think and implement from a customer-centric perspective.  Ability to build and develop strong customer relationships
  • Business Development/Sales, Develop and complete strategic action plans to enhance business opportunities and market potential. 
  • Communication, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
