About the opportunity:

We are looking for a Business Development Manager (Card Team) to join us along this mission and vision. You’ll become an integral part of the Business Development team, which is spread out over all time zones, with a directive to manage client relationships with WOO, build client relationships and determine where to expand to ensure clients' needs are met and revenue growth is obtained. The team handles 2C, 2B, and broker relationships and works closely with the product and ecosystem to ensure that relevant feedback is included in the underlying products.

As an integral part of the Business Development team, you will play a key role in expanding our credit card business by managing client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving revenue. What you’ll be working on:

  • Developing and executing strategies to acquire, onboard, and manage partnerships with financial institutions, payment networks, and key industry players in the credit card space.
  • Identifying and establishing relationships with strategic partners to enhance card issuance, merchant acceptance, and overall product adoption.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including Product, Risk, and Compliance, to refine offerings and improve the customer experience.
  • Managing and optimizing existing client and partner relationships to ensure continued engagement and increased transaction volume.
  • Analyzing market trends, competitor strategies, and customer insights to identify business opportunities and drive credit card portfolio growth.
  • Leading negotiations and deal structuring with banks, fintech companies, and payment service providers to expand our credit card ecosystem.
  • Coordinating with regulatory and risk teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.

About you:

  • 4+ years of proven experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within the credit card, payments, or financial services industry.
  • Strong network within the banking, fintech, and payment ecosystems, with experience in card issuance, acquiring, or merchant services.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring and managing high-value partnerships that drive transaction volume and revenue growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit card payment systems, interchange fees, chargeback management, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to engage with financial institutions, payment providers, and merchants.
  • A strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to business development and market expansion.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams to enhance product offerings based on market feedback.
  • Passion for fintech, digital payments, and financial inclusion.
