Job Description
As an Executive Director, you will take on the role of relationship manager, overseeing a portfolio of local corporate clients headquartered in Australia across various industries. You will collaborate closely with product partners, investment banking coverage bankers, and credit partners to maximize firm-wide revenues through cross-selling and achieve target returns for the bank. Your focus will be on managing relationships with the Treasurer and Treasury staff of our clients.
This position can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive relationships with a target client base of 15-20 accounts.
- Formulate and implement account plans for the client portfolio, working closely with product partners to execute a cross-sell strategy.
- Grow the portfolio by identifying and securing new business opportunities, increasing the bank's share of wallet across the client base.
- Collaborate with Client Credit Management to address all credit-related needs and facilitate internal approvals from the Balance Sheet Committee.
- Conduct thorough client analysis to identify business needs that can be addressed with JPMorgan's wide range of corporate banking products, including debt capital markets, risk management, treasury and securities services, and asset management. Convert client analysis into actionable financial solutions.
- Possess strong knowledge of debt products (loans, syndications, ABS, and private placements), FX and derivatives, commodities derivatives, trade and logistics finance, and core cash management and liquidity products.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, debt capital markets (DCM), and/or leveraged finance roles, with a proven track record of establishing relationships with top-tier Australian large corporates.
- Solid understanding of flow derivatives, foreign exchange (FX), commodities, transaction banking, and securities processing.
- Credit training and experience in structuring and executing leveraged loans to support mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs), etc.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
