As a Vice President in the Asia Pacific Equities product team, you are responsible for cash equities electronic trading product development and execution consulting. You will work closely with internal & external clients to deliver advanced trading analysis and solutions and drive the implementation of a commercially & regulatory effective product strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execution & microstructure analysis - run independent analysis to drive performance optimisation and product enhancement.
- Execution advisory - collaborate with cash equities desks and external clients to optimise and improve execution performance using transaction cost analysis.
- Product development - working closely with several teams across the bank (technology, quant research, business management, compliance, control functions) to deliver a high-quality product to commercial effect.
- Product management - ensure the product remains compliant with latest market developments, rules and regulations and has appropriate trading controls and capacity.
- Product governance - communicate to stakeholders on project opportunities, progress & risks. Provide regular updates on business metrics and contribute updates to E-trading control and Best Execution forums.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Electronic Trading, ideally Equities.
- In-depth knowledge about common execution algorithms (VWAP, IS, CLOSE, etc.) functionality and what drives their economic performance.
- In-depth knowledge about Smart Order Routing strategies including external liquidity sources & strategies for internalization.
- Strong analytical skills, able to work with large datasets and ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner. Ideally experience with KDB or equivalents.
- Experience in performing pre and post trade Transaction Cost Analysis.
- Knowledge of Asia Equities markets and microstructure.
- Ability to interact comfortably with business, clients and management and develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.

- Calm under pressure and ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Technical / Quantitative background - ability to articulate requirements and contribute to discussion with Technology and Quantitative Research teams.
- Experience leading complex product development initiatives across electronic trading product lifecycle.
- Understand the different types of risk and approaches to managing these risks / controls
