Job Description

As the Global Head of Data and Insights, you will take ownership of our data strategy, infrastructure, and analytics roadmap, ensuring data-driven insights are at the core of our decision-making processes. Working within a cloud-native environment powered by Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you’ll lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that enable real-time analytics, advanced machine learning, and scalable data operations.

What you do

  • Data Strategy & Leadership: Execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring data-driven insights are at the heart of decision-making processes. Lead a cross-functional data team including data engineers, data architects, analysts, and business intelligence specialists.
  • Cloud Data Architecture: Own the implementation, and optimization of the organization's cloud-native data architecture, with a focus on GCP (Google Cloud Platform) to ensure scalability, security, and reliability of data operations.
  • Advanced Analytics: Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning solutions that provide actionable insights and drive business innovation. Ensure the integration of predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics into business processes.
  • Business Intelligence: Establish best practices for Business Intelligence (BI) tools and processes to empower business users with actionable insights, enabling them to make data-driven decisions.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Develop and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices to ensure data privacy, quality, and integrity. Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements related to data management and multi-jurisdictional reporting, ensuring that the organization meets global and local regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, MiFID II, etc.).
  • Data Engineering & Infrastructure: Oversee data engineering efforts, ensuring the design and maintenance of high-performance data pipelines, integration, and ETL processes to enable real-time analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key advisor to executive leadership, providing insights on data trends, opportunities, and challenges. Collaborate with other business units (e.g., finance, risk, compliance) to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies related to data management, AI, and analytics. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the data team.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in data management, analytics, and BI, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles, ideally in financial services, fintech, or SaaS.

Expertise:

  • Proven ability to design organizational data strategies, with deep knowledge of Data Architecture, AI/ML, BI, and advanced analytics.
  • Strong understanding of global regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, MiFID II).
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale, cloud-native environments with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Vertex AI).
  • Successful track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional data teams.
  • Ability to convey complex data concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to innovative data challenges.
  • Strong grasp of trends in financial services, data privacy, and security, with experience scaling SaaS businesses preferred.

Desirable Skills:

  • Expertise in regulatory compliance and data ethics frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ethical AI practices and data privacy considerations in financial services.
