Job Description
As an Analyst within the team, you will be responsible for working alongside and supporting senior members of the team to advise, market to and execute transactions for Australian corporations, financial institutions and private equity sponsors
Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the origination and execution of domestic and international debt capital markets transactions
  • Supporting client pitching and negotiation through the preparation of clear and succinct marketing materials, including market updates, pitch materials, pricing information and case studies
  • Helping put together trade ideas and recommendations for clients including analysis of debt market funding options and execution considerations across alternative markets
  • Supporting the execution of transactions, including assisting in the drafting of marketing materials, offering documentation and relative value analysis
  • Maintaining a current understanding of trends in the local and international leveraged finance and debt capital markets, and communicating this via market updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Interacting and building relationships with clients at junior levels
  • Liaising with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. sector investment bankers, global debt syndicates, lawyers, compliance, accountants, other banks etc)


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor degree in Economics or Finance or a relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Prior work experience working in debt capital markets or a banking front office, or related, role
  • An understanding of the transaction cycle and international capital markets coupled with an execution oriented approach
  • Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
  • A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
  • Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently

  • Confident, assertive and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Clear thinking and concise communication, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate utmost discretion and professionalism at all times
