The Role

With a strong global presence and an ambitious growth agenda, we are investing in the marketing and communications leadership to match our ambition and elevate how we engage customers, attract talent and tell our story to the market.

Reporting to the EGM Marketing & Technology and working as a peer to our commercial and operational leaders, you will set the agenda, shape the function and lead the execution of integrated marketing and communications across our global business. One of your fiist priorities will be to assess the current team and structure, and design the function for where we are heading.

Your Impact

Brand & Commercial Growth - You will own Bradken's global brand strategy, governing positioning, visual identity and narrative consistency across every region, channel and customer touchpoint. You will lead the evolution of our marketing maturity, building on our established foundations to ensure all global activities are strategically integrated with our business objectives and deliver measurable commercial outcomes. You will work closely with Sales and Product teams to understand the technical value of what Bradken delivers and translate that into compelling market messaging, sales enablement tools and demand generation programs.

Internal Communications & Culture - Partnering with the Executive Leadership Team, you will design and lead internal communications strategies that connect a dispersed global workforce to business strategy, performance expectations and a shared sense of purpose. You will lead large-scale change communications programs, build leader enablement toolkits and establish employee listening mechanisms that translate workforce sentiment into meaningful action.

Employer Brand & Talent Attraction - You will develop and operationalise a compelling Employer Value Proposition that integrates with customer brand strategy, strengthening Bradken's profile as a destination employer across the markets we operate in. Working alongside Talent Acquisition and regional leaders, you will activate targeted employer brand campaigns and always-on content that attract and retain the calibre of people this business needs to grow.

Reputation, Media & Crisis - As Bradken's global lead for media relations and crisis communications, you will build the frameworks, governance and escalation pathways that protect the organisation's reputation. You will provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on reputation risk, issues management and external narrative, ensuring every public statement is risk-aware, legally sound and stakeholder-aligned. You will also own the global marketing and communications budget, governing agency and vendor performance with a clear focus on ROI and investment prioritisation.

What You Bring

You will bring deep experience operating at a senior level in complex, global organisations, with the commercial acumen and leadership presence to work as a true peer to the executive team.

  • A senior background in marketing and corporate communications within complex, global organisations, with strong B2B experience within the mining or resources sector
  • Demonstrated success leading significant organisational change, with the ability to bring people together, align diverse stakeholders and drive momentum in a single direction
  • The ability to understand technical products and services and translate their value into clear, compelling market messaging that resonates with customers
  • Experience assessing and structuring a marketing and communications function, including building and developing team capability
  • Solid experience in crisis communications, media relations and reputation management, including executive counsel
  • Proficiency across marketing automation and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce), digital advertising and analytics tools (GA4, PowerBI)
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across Sales, Product and regional teams in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications or an MBA are well regarded

Location: Newcastle or Brisbane.
