Digital Content & Social Media Specialist (Global)

Location: Sydney preferred, but open to Melbourne and Brisbane

Reports to: Principal, Group Content & Digital Marketing (Global)

Works with: Global Art Director, Digital Operations

Why this role matters

We believe our spaces—and our stories—should #SparkBrilliance.

As our new Digital Content & Social Media Specialist, you’ll help grow Unispace’s global digital presence—crafting engaging, on-brand content and driving consistent performance across our owned channels. Your core focus will be LinkedIn, with a bit of Instagram—but you’ll also help shape our website, contribute to global campaigns, and develop lo-fi video, graphics, and email content.

This is a hands-on, high-output role for someone who thrives at the intersection of content, strategy, and execution. You’ll work closely with the head of global marketing and creative teams to shape and execute organic content campaigns, write copy, brief design, and refine the digital experience across platforms.

We’re a lean, fast-moving team with a global reach across Australia & New Zealand, the United States, Europe, and key markets in Asia (Singapore, India, etc). If you’re organized, adaptable, and globally minded—someone who gets things done and can turn complex ideas into smart content—this role is for you.

What you’ll do

Social Media – Primary Focus · Own and drive Unispace Group’s global organic content on LinkedIn (Unispace and Unispace Life Sciences), with input and support for Downstream and Bulb

· Manage global Instagram and support YouTube content and publishing in collaboration with our Digital Operations team

· Create and schedule engaging content—copy, video snippets, graphic briefs, and campaign series—with oversight from the Principal, Group Content & Digital Marketing (Global)

· Analyze performance, flag insights, and help optimize future content

· Spot trends, pitch ideas, and help maintain the global content calendar

Content Creation & Briefing

· Write clear, compelling copy for social posts, website, email, and internal messaging (AI use is encouraged—with sharp editing)

· Translate abstract ideas into strong campaign plans and creative briefs for our design team

· Produce lo-fi social-first assets when needed (video, carousels, quote graphics)

· Help maintain asset libraries across OpenAsset, Vimeo, YouTube, HubSpot, etc

Website Strategy & Content

· Refine and maintain website content across the landing and service pages, newsroom, insights, and team profiles using HubSpot CMS

· Partner with the Digital Operations team to improve website structure, functionality, and content consistency

· Identify gaps, clean up outdated content, and help streamline global navigation and user experience

· Develop and promote global web content best practices, training regional teams as needed

· Monitor SEO basics, formatting, and tagging to ensure content is discoverable and aligned

Email & Admin

· Support light email marketing via HubSpot (formatting, testing, and reporting), with backup from Digital Operations

· Track performance of content across channels and support campaign timelines

· Jump into creative workflows as needed to keep projects moving and on brand

· Assist with CRM database projects on occasion with Digital Operations

You’re right for this role if you…

· Have the right to work in Australia (we’re not able to sponsor visas) and fluent in spoken and written English

· Have 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or content production

· Are confident writing and publishing for a brand—especially on LinkedIn

· Have experience with CMS and CRM tools (HubSpot preferred), plus platforms like Hootsuite, Canva, or equivalent

· Are a sharp editor who knows how to work with AI-generated content and still keep it human

· Can turn complexity into clarity across different mediums and formats

· Are globally minded, culturally curious, and collaborative across time zones

· Have strong organization skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

· Enjoy working in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment with shifting priorities

· Have a natural interest in design, innovation, or the built environment

What you won’t do

· Manage paid social campaigns (we’ve got that covered)

· Support regional marketing teams directly (but you will guide them on global social and web content standards)

· Ghostwrite for executives (though you may post or format content on their behalf)

What you’ll get

· A visible, high-impact role in a globally recognized and growing company

· Ownership of our most important organic and owned channels

· Exposure to global campaigns, leadership, and creative development

· Hybrid flexibility

· Clear growth path toward more strategic digital or creative leadership roles

Working model

We recommend 3-4 days a week in-office to start—so you can immerse yourself in our culture, collaborate with creative, and hit the ground running. Once you’re up to speed, you can scale back to 1–2 days in-office.

While most of your work will fall within standard business hours, you’ll occasionally need to join early or late calls for global collaboration or campaign deadlines. When that happens, we encourage balance—start later, finish earlier, and take time back when you can.

We don’t micromanage—but we do expect high standards, fast follow-through, and a strong sense of ownership.
