The Global Product Specialist is an early-career member of the Native Engine Build team, responsible for:

  • configuring solutions, executing tests, and supporting the delivery of new country builds.

  • This role is designed for individuals with domain, product, or build experience who are developing their expertise in global product implementation.

  • You may also be responsible for defining project requirements within your pillar, identifying and assessing new system requirements, and escalating complex issues to the Lead for resolution.

  • Working under the guidance of Solution Designers and Senior team members, the Global Product Specialist ensures that configurations are implemented according to defined specifications and validated against agreed acceptance criteria.

Duties and Responsibilities

Configuration & Implementation

  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of country-specific requirements by examining advisory packs and gain clarity on both product and legislative requirements. The primary aim is to gain insights into the build process and address any concerns or identify system gaps.

  • Configure system solutions using available tools and detailed specifications provided by Solution Designers.

  • Apply domain or product knowledge to support accurate implementation of build requirements.

  • Maintain configuration documentation for knowledge-sharing and audit purposes.

Testing & Validation

  • Execute functional and regression tests using predefined test books and acceptance criteria.

  • Log and document test results, identifying issues and escalating defects to Solution Designers or Developers.

  • Support UAT activities and help resolve defects during the testing cycle.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with Solution Designers, Product Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scoped requirements.

  • Provide input into continuous improvement of configuration tools and testing practices.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and support the team in meeting delivery commitments.

Learning & Development

  • Build technical and domain knowledge of global payroll, HR, or financial systems.

  • Develop expertise in the Native Engine Build configuration tools and frameworks.

  • Actively seek mentorship and feedback to grow into more advanced solutioning roles.

Experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, HR/Payroll, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience actively involved in payroll systems configuration, systems testing, or business/functional analysis.

  • Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and team collaboration practices.
